Our History
Marina Medical was founded by Allison Will in 2008 as a medical equipment rental company, inspired by the memory of her grandmother-in-law, Marina Moscioni. Marina, affectionately known as “Nonna” to her many grandchildren, was an immigrant from San Marino—a small country nestled within Italy—whose strong work ethic and commitment to care left a lasting impression on Allison. Naming the company after her beloved Nonna, Allison channeled that same determination to overcome the challenges of launching a business from the ground up in a competitive market. Today, Marina Medical employs over 30 dedicated professionals across several locations in northcentral Ohio, making it the only locally owned option in the region. Allison has crafted a unique business that blends a customer-focused approach with a nonprofit vision, striving to provide exceptional healthcare opportunities for people of all income levels. This vision has been realized through strong partnerships with nonprofit healthcare organizations such as Firelands Health, Fisher-Titus Healthcare, and Avita Healthcare.
Our Team
The success of Marina Medical is a testament to the expertise and dedication of our team. As we’ve expanded over the years, we’ve been fortunate to welcome employees with deep experience in the home medical equipment industry—many of whom have been with us since our early days. Our billing team is led by Karin Siemer, and our respiratory staff by Jamie Martin. Both Karin and Jamie have been integral parts of our team since 2014 when B&K Medical joined Marina Medical. Include Ken Gaietto, our Warehouse Technician, to that merger and that totals over 60 years combined experience in home medical equipment.
In 2019, when Fisher-Titus Healthcare joined our team, we welcomed Rebecca Gordon, Annette Selka, Shelley Webb and Judy Nutter, each bringing invaluable experience from their time at Kaiser Wells. Together, they contribute more than 90 years of expertise in home medical equipment. Rebecca and Annette are skilled Respiratory Therapists, Shelley is one of our knowledgeable Customer Service Liaisons, while Judy serves as our dedicated Patient and Referral Manager.
Additionally, Suzie Palmucci, one of our outstanding Customer Service Representatives, and Michael Will, our President, have been with Marina Medical since before we earned our first Medicare Accreditation. Together, they offer over 20 years of combined experience in the home medical equipment field.
Our team’s collective experience and commitment have allowed us to grow from our humble beginnings as a woman-owned startup to a trusted partner in the region’s primary healthcare systems.
